Cornalin

Perfumed, unusual and harmonious, the Cornalin variety is autocthonous. Also known as Corniola or Humagne Rouge and came to be part of the heritage of wines in 1750, thanks to the Baron of Champorcher and then valued, in the '80s by the regional agricultural institute, the iar.

Alpine climate with short, cool and windy summers. Long cold winters with strong temperature ranges. Low rainfall levels (500-1000 mm. per year).

Soil type
Morainic soils with granitic matrix, loose (sand +50%, medium silt and limestone, abundant skeleton), in slope. Terraces facing south-west.
Production process
Vinification
Destemming of the grapes, fermentation of 8/10 days in stainless steel at controlled temperature (22°c), with daily remixing.
Ageing
French oak barrique from 300L for 12 months.

Tasting notes
Ruby. Red fruits on the nose and floral notes. Delicate and light on the palate, good acidity and delicate tannins.
