Mon Blanc®

White wine

Delicate and fruity, Mon Blanc is a blend of native and international varieties from various vineyards.

It is dedicated to those who want a pleasant wine that is easy to drink. Its name comes from a play on words (in French Mon Blanc and Mont Blanc mean My White and Mont Blanc).

  • Climate trend Alpine climate with short, cool, breezy summers. Long cold winters with large temperature ranges. Low rainfall levels (500-1000 mm. annually).
  • Harvest and annual production Manual, mid-September. 25,000 bott.

  • Available formats 750 ml

Vineyard

  • Vineyard Area 2.50 ha, Guyot system; planting of 7,500 feet per hectare, cordon and retrocession rows. Yield 8,000 kg/ha.
  • Altitude Altitude 500/700 meters above sea level.
  • Type of land Granitic matrix moraine soils, loose (sand +50%, medium silt and limestone, abundant skeleton), sloping. Terraces with different exposures.

Production process

  • Vinification Chilling and whole cluster soft pressing of grapes, 12-day fermentation in stainless steel at a temperature of 14°C.
  • Aging Maturation "sur lies" of 3 months
  • Bottle aging
  • Total acidity 6 g/L
  • pH 3.3
  • Net dry extract Alcohol 13.5% vol.

Tasting Notes

  • Brilliant, straw yellow. Delicate, floral nose with hints of banana and plum. Soft, savory and mineral on the palate.

Recommended pairings

  • Cold cuts and cheeses, elaborate first courses, rabbit Ligurian style, gnocchi alla bava. Also suitable as an aperitif.
