Petite Arvine

Petite Arvine is a traditional late-ripening grape variety. Its name comes from the variety – Arvine – and the small size (Petite in French) of its berries.

This wine, emblematic of the Aosta Valley region, is characterized by intense minerality, accentuated salinity and a distinctive aromatic profile.

Vineyard

Vineyard Area about 6.50 ha, Guyot system; planting 7,500 feet per hectare, cordon and retouch rows. Yield 10,000 kg/ha.

Production process

Vinification Chilling and whole cluster soft pressing of grapes, 12-day fermentation in stainless steel at controlled temperature (14 °C).

Tasting Notes

Brilliant, straw yellow. Floral nose (jasmine, peony), with hints of apple, plum and citrus. Taste savory, balanced, with mineral nuances.

Recommended pairings

Carpaccio of marinated tuna, linguine with pesto, salted bream, salmon trout with herbs, also suitable as an aperitif.
