Fragrant, distinctive and harmonious, Cornalin is a native variety with ancient origins.
Also called Carnelian or Humagne Rouge, it came to the Valley from Burgundy Iar, established its virtues and cultivation.

Vineyard
- Vineyard Surface area 1 hectare, Guyot system, 7,000 feet per hectare, cordon and retrocessional rows. Yield 7000 kg/ha
- Altitude Altitude 700 meters above sea level.
- Type of land Granitic matrix moraine soils, loose (sand +50%, medium silt and limestone, abundant skeleton), sloping. Terraces with southwest exposure.
Production process
- Vinification De-stemming of grapes, 8/10 days fermentation in stainless steel at controlled temperature (22°c), with daily pumping over.
- Aging 300L French oak barrels for 12 months.
- Bottle aging 36 months
- Total acidity 5.5 g/L
- pH 3.4
- Net dry extract Alcohol 13.5% vol.
Tasting Notes
- Impenetrable Red. Nose of Wide Nuances, ripe fruit and dried flowers greeted by spicy memories with background of toast and leather. Consistent palate, rigorous tannic texture contextualized with deep softness. Long, engaging finish with expert tension.
